In the month of December I was so excited to be able to prep and supply my fans and listeners with an album. Something I had never completed. On one hand, I was horribly impatient with the process but was eager to have eight to ten songs available for you to listen to. One the other hand, I just wanted to keep right on releasing what I could without considering the importance of planning out a strategy. I just needed that one last “ballad-like” Gospel music song to round out the variety I had saved for the project. But life has a funny way of taking you in a different direction. As it turns out, in the middle of my production efforts with another producer, all plans went south. I shared my frustration with another producer and he gave me the best advice I could find. After taking a critical look at my approach, it was time for a change. You will be happy to know that now, instead of releasing an album with the hope that I would make some noise with a few of the tracks, I decided to “drip” out singles every few weeks or so. I know that is probably too much at one time but since I write quite a bit, it should not be difficult. At the rate I am going right now, I will have releases well into the summer and beyond. Stay tuned as I navigate this plan, one step at a time.
